In this visceral clay animated short film, I draw inspiration from horror manga artist Junji Ito and body horror virtuoso David Cronenberg to weave a surreal tale. The protagonist, a seamstress ensnared by a parasitic intrusion, confronts the grotesque by stitching her senses shut. The clay medium allows me to mold the unsettling beauty of her transmutation, while the narrative's roots delve into the twisted depths of human resilience. Through meticulous craftsmanship and a nod to the macabre aesthetics, this film aims to explore the symbiotic dance between agony and artistry, inviting audiences to investigate the captivating power of horror.

This short film marks a departure from my previous work in music videos, signaling a new artistic direction. In Threads, I delve into the profound themes of fear and madness, inspired by a deep fascination with psychological horror. This serves as a motivation to stretch my artistic boundaries.

In crafting this short film, I meticulously sculpted not only characters but also props in clay, ensuring a cohesive visual narrative. Siouxzie, the protagonist embodies a distinct personality, crafted to evoke specific emotions. Her character transforms into a sick and pallid version of her former beauty. The atmosphere is meticulously built through a palette of candy reds and greens, to enhance the unsettling ambiance.

By pushing the limits of storytelling and visual representation, I sought to create an immersive experience that lingers in the audience's minds, provoking thoughtful introspection. This exploration reflects my belief in the power of horror to serve as a mirror to our deepest anxieties, challenging both myself and viewers to navigate the corporeal boundaries between terror and fascination.
