In a small town in southern Belgium, Deme and Bernard manage an old hotel for one purpose, the abduction of healthy young people to serve as a food source for their teenager, Marie.

Since I was a child in Puerto Rico, I always wanted to be a filmmaker yet the opportunities did not exist when I was growing up. This led me to leave the island to find my collaborators. I’ve devoted my life to this art form and I finally feel that this film represents my voice. The idea sparked from many conversations with my main collaborator, Nicole Elmer, the writer of the story, and her openness to letting the story tell us what it really wanted to be. With "La Fille (Daughter)," we explored what it is like to be a parent who would do anything for their children and how far would one go for them. As a father myself, I would pretty much do anything to protect my daughter. Yet, are there lines that I would not cross? This is where horror shines because one can dive into these bigger personal questions and explore through a very dark and impactful perspective.
